Where to Farm Annihilus: Diablo 4 Guide by U4GM

The frustrating part of pursuing Annihilus in Diablo 4 is the waiting: finishing a World Boss encounter without knowing whether the fight you actually need will appear. When planning upgrades to your Diablo 4 gear, that uncertainty matters more than a perfect item screenshot. The useful questions are how to pursue the reported drop without wasting resources, and whether the seal improves your build once you have it.

Separate the Encounter From the Drop

The reported acquisition sequence starts with a World Boss defeat, followed by "Diablo walks the earth" and an additional Diablo encounter. Defeating that enemy has reportedly produced Annihilus. What remains unresolved is the complete condition that causes the additional fight to appear.

That distinction prevents wasted effort. A World Boss kill without a follow-up encounter tells you nothing about the seal's drop rate. Likewise, successful drops do not establish that every victory guarantees the item.

Early accounts involve Azmodan, but that does not establish an exclusive requirement. Treat the post-boss encounter as the reported route, not as a fully solved farming procedure.

◆ Stay in the arena briefly after the regular boss dies and watch for the message.

◆ Choose a difficulty where you can survive a possible second fight.

◆ Do not assume another Diablo appearance shares the same rewards.

Do Not Spend Valuable Rings on an Unresolved Theory

Stone of Jordan salvage activity is part of the discussion surrounding Diablo's appearance, but a mandatory personal salvage requirement has not been established. Reports of encounters without personal salvage leave room for other explanations, including possible shared conditions.

The practical response is restraint. Destroying a valuable ring is a definite cost; its contribution to triggering this encounter remains uncertain. A successful appearance after salvaging does not, by itself, demonstrate cause and effect.

Keep attempts compatible with your normal progression instead of letting an unresolved trigger consume your entire session. World Boss rewards can still make participation useful even when the additional enemy never arrives.

Judge Annihilus by What Your Build Loses

The reported ranges are 10% to 20% All Stats, 10% to 20% Resistance to All Elements, +5 to +10 to All Skills, and 5% to 10% Bonus Experience, alongside two set bonuses. Those numbers explain the interest, but replacing your current seal is not a free upgrade.

Start with the skill ranks. Check whether they strengthen the abilities doing meaningful work in your rotation. Then examine what disappears when your existing seal comes off, especially resource support or a set interaction that keeps the build functioning.

◆ Compare completion times in the same activity and difficulty.

◆ Watch for resource shortages during sustained combat, not just the opening burst.

◆ Check whether survival improves without sacrificing reliable damage.

A shorter clear with fewer interruptions is more convincing than a larger displayed number. Repeat the comparison before committing scarce resources.

Decide Before the First Reroll

Annihilus is reported to be tradable initially, while rerolling through the Horadric Cube makes it account-bound. Inspect its set bonuses before improving numerical values; a stronger roll does not resolve an unsuitable set combination.

For Diablo 4 players who farm upgrades or buy diablo 4 gear, the same discipline applies: identify the problem an item must solve before committing resources. Pursue the reported encounter, preserve your options before rerolling, and equip Annihilus only when repeatable gameplay shows that it improves your character.
